2023 JENKINS AWARD NOMINATIONS
NOMINATION CRITERIA AND PROCESS
Please nominate one individual who has given outstanding service to our young people, making a significant impact on their lives. This service could have been through home, work, or community involvements. Past awardees have included school personnel, parents and other community members.
Nomination Criteria Guidelines:
School Personnel (including administrators, teachers, coaches and staff)
Parents and other Community Members
The Ardsley Jenkins Committee is a broad group of individuals representing many aspects of the community. However, it is possible that the nominee is unknown to the committee so please include sufficient insights and details in the nomination form to ensure the contribution to the community can be best appreciated by the committee.
Ardsley is fortunate to have many individuals deserving of the Jenkins Award, and the Committee selects only a few each year. Therefore, we ask you to not inform your nominee of their nomination, to avoid embarrassment should they not be selected this year. All recommendations are reviewed confidentially.
If you have previously nominated an individual who was not selected but remains deserving, please re-submit your nomination.
We will contact you in May with our decision.
[1] All recommendations are retained confidentially and are reconsidered in subsequent years. Please note that Jenkins is a lifetime award, given to an individual only once, so please refer to the list of previous winners before making your nomination.
[2] Jenkins Awardees receive an honorary lifetime membership in the New York State PTA. In addition, a donation is made in his or her honor to "The Twin Projects," which funds the Jenkins Memorial Scholarship for Teacher Education Fund and the PTA Teacher Fellowship for Graduate Study Fund.
